Punta Cana Dominican Republic

This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic and we stayed on Club Med’s property. We’re a family of six, and staff at the resort were amazing. Specifically BANANA AND Ralph DAVIDSON OBELIX made our trip phenomenal for our entire family.

We had an amazing time at Club Med Punta Cana in April 2025. This destination is a dream come true for families and anyone who loves staying active on vacation. Every day was packed with fun, well-organized activities: from trying the circus school, sailing, and swimming in the Olympic-sized pool to beach volleyball, basketball, and more. The entire resort is spotless, and everything runs so smoothly—it’s clear the staff put a lot of care into creating an unforgettable experience.

A huge shoutout to the incredible team at the Mini Club and Petit Club who took such great care of our 3- and 6-year-old kids. Monica, Betsy, Salomé, Rose, and Leo were all amazing—warm, attentive, and so good with the little ones. Knowing they were in good hands allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the activities ourselves.

On the fitness side, I can’t say enough about how great the classes were. Melanie’s abs and glutes sessions were super energizing and fun—she’s a fantastic motivator! And doing aqua yoga almost every day with Sophie was a highlight of my trip. She brought such calm, inspiration, and strength to each session—it was a gift to spend time with her.

Overall, I highly recommend Club Med Punta Cana. It’s a perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and connection for both adults and kids. I truly hope we’ll get the chance to go back and create even more amazing memories!

The amenities and rooms are a bit out of date definitely not as nice as others resort I had been to in the past. The food is a hit and miss even at their fancy restaurant. I do enjoy the convenience of the bar near the beach. There were also some very nice hotel’s staffs going out of their way to make our stay a pleasant experience especially Yomaira. She was kind and very accommodating to our 8 months old son. Thanks Yomaira!

This was our 4th ClubMed trip, but first time to Punta Cana. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there despite the construction, I can't wait to see what the resort looks like when the construction is finished later this year.

Kids - We traveled with our 6 and 3 year olds. They went to the miniclub/petit club nearly every day. They had a blast and were so exhausted at the end of each day, they can't wait to go back. Special shout out to the best GO's ever! Rose, Banana, Ismael, Karla, Ronaldo, Mirdwine, Leo, Faye, Slandra, Laurie, Betsaida, Cassandra. Our 6 year old went kayaking, sailing, and spent a lot of time practicing on the trapeze so that on the last day he could try a special trick. He was so proud of himself.

Rooms – We upgraded to the family room resort center – New/renovated room. I’m so glad that we upgraded. The room was very nice and the location was great – close to everything. The AC worked well and the kids had a separate room with a door that closed for better sleeping for everyone.

Food – The food was pretty good. We ate at Hispaniola almost every night for dinner, but had a special birthday dinner at Indigo. Romain and the staff went out of their way to make sure the meal was memorable. That was one of our best experiences there.

The facilities are great (beach/pool), etc. The new water park was a huge hit with the kids and they spent a lot of time playing there. We did a snorkel excursion and saw amazing fish.

Our family is so excited to go back again and see the resort after the renovations are completed.

It is our third time in Club med Punta Cana.
Our older daughter loved her Petit club teachers so mush, she asks when we're coming back almost every day: Arielle, Laurie, Slandra, Mirdwine, Betsaida and Cassndra.

The care for the kids (also for our younger son) is exceptional, loving and worm.

My disappointment is from the way we were greeted upon arrival: the staff looked confused. As our room wasn't ready yet (it was 2:30 pm), he asked for our phone number to notify us when it is. 4pm arrived and crickets. We had to go to the temporary reception (due to the fire last year) and only then we were told our room will be ready in 30 min (they totally forgot about us!)
