Be guided by specially trained ski instructors

With Club Med’s all-inclusive packages, learning to ski or snowboard just got easier. Slide on your ski suit and follow the instructions of our experienced professionals.

Club Med's instructors graduated from local ski schools. In other words, if you go to a European resort, you will meet professionals from the ESF (French National Ski School), ESS (Swiss Ski School), and ESI (Italian Ski School).

In Canada, instructors are also certified by the Canadian Ski School, and in Asia, by local schools with the same level of excellence.

Where can I learn to ski?

From the summits of the Alps to Hokkaido in Japan, from Manchuria to the Laurentides, more than 20 Club Med Resorts around the world are waiting to welcome you to the most beautiful ski areas across Europe, North America, and Asia. Guided by an instructor, you'll enjoy ski-in/ski-out access and select Resorts and priority access to the ski lifts. Less time waiting in line and more time on the slopes!

Learn to ski at any age

With Club Med’s all-inclusive package, group lessons* from ages 4 and up (yes, even for adults!) are always included for all skill levels. Ski vacations for everyone

Ski vacations designed for kids of all ages

Club Med’s mountain Resorts offer all world of possibilities. While you’re out enjoying the slopes, let your kids discover a vacation of their own. Let them fine-tune their ski skills or spend time at the Children’s Clubs. Not matter which option they choose, our team will make sure they’re fully engaged and entertained!

Which class is right for my child?

From the age of 3, children can join Petit Club Med®** and be introduced to skiing by instructors. At 4 years of age, kids can start to take lessons with instructors from the national ski school. The lessons are designed to provide the fundamentals of skiing in a fun and safe environment. Once they’ve completed their course, they'll be awarded their first medal.

After the age of 5, if your child is a beginner and can already slide and do a snowplow stop, they'll receive a "Snowflake."

Next come the "Stars,"* depending on their level. The aim of the 1st Star* course is to teach kids how to keep their skis parallel when turning. At the 2nd Star* level, it's time to tackle the blue runs. For the 3rd Star,* your child can control their balance and speed while skiing down the slope.
*Depending on the country, there may be equivalents to the various levels taught by the ESF.
**At extra cost and only at select Club Med Resorts.

The right lesson for all levels

Once your registration is confirmed (in person or online before you arrive), we'll organize the week according to the skill level of each G.M®

If you've selected a week-long stay, your child's first lesson session will be held on Monday morning. They'll start by skiing a few hundred feet so the instructor can assess their level and put them in the right class. This is designed to ensure they are surrounded by other children of the same level, allowing them to feel more comfortable and motivated than ever.

Use this list to check their level of skiing experience
Birdie: Your child is under 5 years of age
Teddy Bear: Your child is 5 years or older but has never skied

1st Star: They're still learning snowplow techniques but can get their skis parallel between each turn
2nd Star: They're starting to make parallel turns on blue runs
3rd Star: They can parallel ski and maintain their balance at high speeds
Bronze Star: They can parallel ski and do a hockey stop at high speeds
Gold Star: They can do several small turns in a row, all while controlling their speed. They can jump when skiing over bumps
Freestyle Competition: They're starting to excel at giant slalom. They can change their pace and the radius of their turns with improved mastery over their skis

Snowboard lessons

For Kids & Adults

Club Med offers snowboard lessons to children 8 and over, allowing kids to get a feel for the sport or improve their technique. Once they turn 12, they can join the adult classes. Teens can choose our multi-sport package and maximize their thrills.

Upon arrival, their level will be evaluated and they'll be placed in one of the four following groups. If they’re snowboarding for the first time, then they’ll be assigned to Class 1. Can they carve their way down a blue run while controlling their trajectory and speed? Welcome to Class 2! If they’re a master of red trails, then Class 3 is for them. Finally, Class 4 is reserved for experts on all types of snow.

For adults: Take advantage of a laid-back atmosphere to learn new techniques and share tips with guests at the same level as you.

Use this list to check your level of skiing experience
Level 1: You have never snowboarded or have only practiced for a few hours
Level 2: You can take turns to both sides
Level 3: You can control your speed and direction

*Package reserved for Class 3 skiers and only available on certain dates.
