Cancún Mexico

We visited for a day pass during the New Year’s event, and it was truly a spectacular experience from beginning to end. The entire property had a fun, festive atmosphere and felt like a special way to ring in the New Year. Even though our visit was short, it left a lasting impression on our whole group.

The New Year’s dancers were absolutely amazing and brought so much energy and excitement to the celebration. Their performances really elevated the event and made the night feel extra special.

One staff member in particular, Meghan, truly stood out. She was an absolute sweetheart and incredible with kids. My daughter instantly connected with her, and they quickly became friends. Unfortunately, my daughter was disappointed that she missed the bouncy castle and cotton candy machine. We were at the kids’ water park while everything was being set up and assumed it would still be available later in the evening. When we returned, it had already been taken down, which made her sad. Thankfully, that was right when we met Meghan. She was wearing a stunning black and gold dress and bringing the most amazing attitude. She completely turned the moment around and really saved the night for her.

Meghan also took the time to chat with us and recommended Club Med in Quebec, Canada for skiing after we mentioned how much we enjoy ski trips. She described it so enthusiastically that we’re now genuinely looking into planning a future stay there. That kind of genuine engagement really speaks volumes about the quality of the staff.

The kids’ water park and slides were a huge hit and provided so much fun for everyone. There was truly so much to do that we didn’t even have time to experience everything. We would have loved to play tennis or pickleball, but time just wasn’t on our side. My husband did get to try paddle boarding, which he thought was awesome. The beach was beautiful, and seeing fish swimming in the water was such a special touch.

The food was excellent, with great variety and quality, and the cleanliness throughout the resort was impressive. The staff across the board was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

A few small suggestions for improvement: the locker rooms could be a bit larger to better accommodate multiple guests showering at the same time. Luckily, my daughter and I showered early before it became crowded, but other families we were with had to wait their turn, which took a while. There were plenty of towels and everything was very clean, though some lockers couldn’t be used because previous guests hadn’t reset the locks. Additionally, the locker room could benefit from another outlet or two, as it was difficult for multiple people to use hair dryers at the same time.

Another minor note is the towel policy. While I understand limiting towels to one per person, a little flexibility (especially for families) would be appreciated. Personally, I like to use 2 towels. One to lie on and another as a pillow. So having easier access to extra towels would make the experience even better.

Overall, this was a fantastic New Year’s experience that we truly enjoyed. Between the entertainment, activities, beautiful beach, and outstanding staff (especially Meghan) we would absolutely return and highly recommend it to families looking for a fun, festive, and well-run getaway.

Make no mistake this is an older resort that could use some upgrades, but the main beach and the Taco Arte and other dining restaurants make it an amazing experience. We had the best seafood meal ever at an all inclusive resort at the Taco Arte restautant in an updated but traditional Cancun setting. The main beach offers warm water and white sand swimming with a gentle entry and surf suitable for sveryone. There are lots of activities and great ocean and lagoon views from almost everywhere. You can walk all over the expansive resort or take the shuttle if you choose. This is our first southern Club Med experience but won't be our last!

I enjoyed a wonderful week in Cancun. Location, sea, food, room, facilities, weather, atmosphere and staff have been excellent.

Club is amazing, very family oriented. Our teen enjoyed her stay. The family suite is great lots of space. Food is pretty good with 2/3 restaurant to choose from. Just shame that some holidays maker/GM don’t behave properly and don’t appreciate the work all the staff does.
