We faced some check-in issues that were frustrating BUT the saving grace was when Ms Young (the manager at the reception) somehow managed to get hold of us and talked to us about the unpleasant situation we got caught in and rectified it. She sure made the whole stay way more pleasant after and I have to applaud her for her efforts.

On to the club itself. Rooms were very clean, not huge but way more than enough for both of us. We got to know Abdul (an intern from Kenya) at a lunch and he was rotated around and housekeeping was his area during our stay. He was excellent in every way despite being an intern. His calmness and know-how was above his age and I do hope he will be a fulltime staff at Club Med Cherating.

Facilities were really fun and we loved the Zen pool area as it was quiet and allowed us to get rest while getting a great tan. The fabulous sea sports area is just a short walk away and we kayaked for quite a while. Nazmi and his colleagues were super helpful and made it all great. The events every night was a must watch and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Food wise, every meal was EXCELLENT. The range of food during all the buffets was mind boggling and we never got sick of the food despite staying for 10 nights. The menus were well rotated and varied.

Overall it was an awesome experience. All the GOs and staff made real effort in ensuring all guests were taken care of. Good job all, we will be back for sure.

The pool, beach and evening entertainment are great, especially for young kids. The resort is well maintained but needs a refurb.

I went to club Med Cherating with my wife and young family this April 2025.

We had the most incredible holiday experience ever.

The staff were amazing people who went out of their way to make sure we had the best family vacation possible.

From reception staff, house keeping, the hospitality and bar staff to the life guards and kids club staff- everyone we came across was amazing.

The resort itself is incredible. It is brilliantly laid out, clean, well maintained and there is so much to do for everyone of all ages.

The kids had the best time and can’t wait to go back. They made so many friends and built close relationships with the staff there. They were heartbroken when we had to leave.

The food is incredible and there is so much to chose from. The staff and chef are willing to accommodate wherever possible and make an effort to remember everyone’s names.

Most of all I want to make a special mention to the Cheif of the village Clayton Da Matta. From the day we arrived to our departure, Clayton was a stand out. He made so much effort with the kids making sure they had a holiday they would never forget. You can clearly see he loves his job and is highly respected by all his staff.

Every staff member we spoke to had nothing but positive comments about Clayton and what a fantastic chief he was to work for. He was always around, speaking to guests, playing with the kids, participating in shows and entertaining the crowds into the night.

I cannot thank Clayton and his team at ClubMed Cherating enough for an incredible family vacation.

We are already planning our next holiday back to Cherating in August this year.
