Caravelle Guadeloupe - French Caribbean

This was my first Club Med experience. As someone who doesn't usually go on all-inclusive vacations, I really enjoyed my stay.

The beach is beautiful, and the water was lovely and clean. There were always enough chairs for everyone. There isn't much shade, but that wasn't a problem for me.

The food was good. There are only two restaurants, and I found the opening hours a bit restrictive, but there was always something open except between 17h30 to 19h, but there was often an apero at the colibri bar.

What made my stay incredible was really the people who work there. Despite the fact that the GOs were sometimes a little too close-knit, they were great. Special mention to certain employees like Sandro, who worked at the bar and made our stay memorable with his professionalism, constant positivity, and outstanding service. He was very attentive and always ready to personalize our cocktails. For a place that promotes its GOs, it embodies what I expected for my first visit. I would also like to thank Kenny and Steven, who made our stay unforgettable, filled with laughter and good times. Their service was exceptional.

I would also like to mention Arthur at the bar and Nassima in photography, who also made our stay memorable. We met so many wonderful people during our stay that I can't name them all.

There were lots of children and it's quite a lively resort with lots going on, but you can always find some peace and quiet at the Zen pool for adults only. Both pool was nice and clean.

The shows were great, as were the activities and crazy signs. I had a truly exceptional stay, thanks to the resort itself, but really thanks to the people who work there.

What a truly beautiful and unforgettable experience we had at Club Med La Caravelle. We were a group of 77 Portuguese guests and stayed for over a week at this stunning resort, and from the very first day everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was incredible, full of joy, energy, and warmth. We laughed a lot, had an amazing time, and were lucky to meet so many wonderful people who made this trip even more special.

A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Luis Filipe, who truly made our stay exceptional. Having someone so kind, attentive, and always willing to help made a huge difference for our entire group. From the smallest questions to the more important needs, Luis was always there with a smile, a positive attitude, and genuine care. The fact that he speaks our language made us feel instantly at home, comfortable, and well looked after. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt welcome, included, and happy, and his presence added an extra layer of warmth to an already amazing experience.

Thanks to the incredible team, the beautiful surroundings, and especially Luis, this was not just a holiday but a collection of unforgettable memories. We will definitely carry this experience with us and hope to return very soon.

The staff made the trip memorable. Everyone is engaging and caters to your every need. Vincenzo - chef du village is as his title is described. He knows guests by name and has great attention to detail.
Enjoyed a rum tasting in La Cave by the charming and knowledgeable Paul from Bordeaux, France who has a degree in wine and spirits. Highly recommend.

This place is so much fun! I was worried we would be inundated with families and kids. (I have kids and that is how it usually is when we travel). But this trip, we went as two adults and honestly I barely noticed kids - until one day I happened upon the kid area and realized they do an excellent job of separating the families and kids from the main sections.

We played volleyball, ping pong, pickleball, lawn bowling, did archery, paddled, kayaked, swam, ate too much, walked to town to shop...really we had the best time.

We didn't get to sail because we tried to do it too late and you need an instructor if you aren't pretty competent, Using an instructor requires a reservation. Also, the kayaking and paddling is not as wonderful as it sounds because you have to stay right there in front of the beach and wear a life jacket at all times. I got reprimanded for even having my life jacket unbuckled. It is a strict place, but that is probably fine for most people.

The setting is ideal and absolutely gorgeous. The food was good and plentiful, but not amazing. There were lots of local options each day, but they temper the flavor and spice to french people.

We were the only ones there we met that spoke only english. It is primarily a resort for french people. But that made it kind of fun for us. And everybody was super nice.. Just be prepared to not be able to communicate much to most of the workers or guests.

Overall, it was a wonderful all inclusive resort and the emphasis on activity and sports was really amazing. I think Club Med is the right kind of resort for me - encourages activity, exploration, socializing with new people, good food, and environmentally friendly. Other resorts i have tried don't do these things well.
