Buccaneer's Creek Martinique - French Caribbean

From the moment we arrived at Clubmed Martinique we met Bruno. Brunk settled us in and then continued to check on us daily. The most amazing thing he did was introduce our daughter to other Go team members which led he to have an amazing time, big shout out also to Lola and Simona. Also a big thank you to Thibaud who helped our daughter with lots of things during her stay. If you prefer not to become best friends with the staff then this Clubmed resort is one for you, we don’t mind either way but the interactions with all staff was much less here than at all the other resorts we have visited. Reubens our site leader was always friendly and ch7 king to ensure we were having a good time despite not speaking French. Activities were great with something for everyone, the Aqua gym always being fun. This resort is not the best for drinks. Cocktail mixing at best was inconsistent but at worst undrinkable, at the weekly cocktail party it was not possible to get a cocktail on the two occasions we attended. Also without visiting the main bar or the beach bar which is a long way from any of the popular beach areas drinks were not available and no staff walked to guests to take drinks orders. Plenty of areas exist to get away from mouse it one half of the resort does have some construction ongoing for new facilities although no noise from this could be heard from our rooms or the beach areas we visited. We had two trips during the visit one on land and one on the sea. Both amazing and giving us different views of Martinique. The land trip was great and had multilingual tour guide in a comfortable air conditioned minibus. The boat trip was a bit more for the adventurous. An open decked speedboat that travels very fast. It would have been useful to know this ahead of the trip as the bouncing and open nature of the boat may not have suited everyone. Also for this boat trip the captain only spoke French so could not talk though important things like safety or time at each location which again would be useful to know before booking. Catering was amazing with good variety including local dishes for those wanting a more authentic menu with something for everyone. Reception team were also good and were speedy to respond when some local wildlife refused to leave, too quick for me anyway. Entertainment was also great and I even managed to take part once in crazy dance. We love the Clubmed experience and definitely hooked and Martinique has not changed our thoughts on this. Accommodations were great with no issues, we were close to the main bar so some noise in the evening was expected but always over by 12pm. Thanks Bruno and thanks to Reuben and the whole team. Had a good time and great weather. The food was amazing as well as the staff. Diving with Manon and Matteo was outstanding. We'll go again.

Our 2 weeks stay was quite pleasant.
Ruben, le chef du village was forever present and checking on his guests. Thank you for that Ruben.
The staff were friendly and courteous.
At the Reception Julie and Maude were very helpful to us with our questions and always smiling.
At the pool, Malo, Julien, Tom, Tudor and Pierre. Great chats!
At the bar MC and Sandra were the very best, hardworking at mixing all sorts of drinks with a smile.
Anastasia the queen of snack time, that lovely lady works her bones off.
The buffet is excellent with the best salads we had for lunch and great dinners.
The room was spacious and Suzie our person kept it well cleaned for us.
We took 2 Excursions, they were informative and very good. Need to improve for English speakers.
The grounds are well kept and lush with lots of flowers.
For a little constructive criticism:
The bar, at peak time was often running out of glasses and they were very short staff at time when the line up ran deep. The staff were definitely stressed and trying their best.
A couple morning, no cups available at the coffee station so no good coffee for the early risers. Should be prepared at night. Could use a little nespresso machine in the room!
Had no Wifi for a few days in just our room, asked for a check and nothing ever changed.
The day trippers on the week end is a great idea, however, the long weekend we experienced on may 21 was four days of madness and the resort was overrun by day visitors. It was overwhelming.
Not sure if there is a limit of daily visitors, however, the club has to be sensitive to their guests who come for far away and spend a lot of money to be there. A balance is needed or it may become a deterrent.
The shop needs to do better in their selections of products and apparel. Not everyone is a S or M.
Except for these little hiccups, overall we had a lovey stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful lush flower island.

It was a fantastic time during our stay at the clubmed, the hotel is dreamy and the location is ideal so close to the beach. But since our arrival we have been given wrong and incomplete information that brought us to a frustrating start. I think the personnel lack of an overall training.
