Turkoise Turks and Caicos

Second time at Club Med and it did not disappoint. Went for 5 nights. Bar staff is always amazing and give a hefty pour. Only downside is that they do not provide bottled/canned water in their All inclusive package. Our room was in the French Cay. AC worked great and housekeeping came everyday. Only negative was the hot water in the showers was not really hot. Resort was clean and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! Nightly entertainment was good and they created new shows from last year. There was themed dress codes every night which brings a cool vibe to the resort. MAke sure you bring a Yeti as the glasses are very small at the bar!

The good:
Sports choice and ambiance was amazing.
Sailing and Trapeze GO were outstanding.
The pool and beaches are fantastic.
Rooms have lots of space to put away your clothes and gear.

on the down side;
Rooms are a bit antiquated, air conditioning is barely keeping up and it was a bit too hot for us Canadian!

I was a little worried at the beginning of the stay because the flights (coordinated by Club Med) had us arrive around noon—but we were told we needed to pay more money to get in before 4pm. This seemed ridiculous that we needed to sit down near reception with our luggage, in our airport clothes, when it was extremely hot outside. We were tired, hot, and weren’t allowed to even utilize the bar even for water. We weren’t allowed to wander and explore either before 4. It just seemed to be strange and not guest friendly.

Thankfully, after waiting for around 2 hours, we spoke to reception again, and Mariana (reception) was really helpful and kind/empathetic. This made us feel better!

After that—everything was wonderful! The GOs are awesome here. Our favorite group has to be from sailing.
Salu—he’s amazing and taught us how to sail. He’s so helpful, friendly, and we grew attached to him! He’s the best and is just such a precious human being.
Sebastian—our verbal sparring partner, is quick witted and really funny. We had so much fun making fun of him LOL he’s a good sport with humor for sure. We won’t ever forget him and his sassiness…he might even be one of our favorite GOs now :)
Graydon—he’s so lively and probably made us laugh the most. He was always quick to join us in making fun of Sebastian too. lol
Etienne—very friendly and always greeted us when we came by! He’s delightful and fun to joke with.
Rafael—sailing chief!! He’s easy to spot with the cowboy hat! I loved his vibe and he takes sailing very seriously! Safety first! He’s very informative and ready to help.
Of course, the two best members of the sailing team were Chaleco and Hobie! They’re the cutest, friendliest cats I’ve ever met. <3

The Trapeze team were great too! Shoutout to Tom and Morgan for helping me the most. I felt like an expert after Morgan’s beginner lesson! Tom is a great circus chief and is always full of energy.

Elise from the Sports Team is awesome! She’s fun to chat with and she made me feel great when I passed the first round of the pingpong tournament. :)

David from the Snorkeling/Diving team was so funny, kind, and easy to talk to. He made our first experience snorkeling here a great one. I filmed a video of a shark we saw while snorkeling and I thought it was adorable that he went around and showed everyone else on the snorkeling trip my video. :)

From the bar team—Michael is great all around. He’s so social and if there is a master at guest service, it’s him! He exceeded all expectations and we found ourselves always looking for him while heading to the bar.
Sophia is wonderful too! She serves the BEST mojitos and we ended up calling her Mojito Queen! She’s really kind and has a warm personality. We loved her!
Joshua, also, is really great! We nicknamed him “Captain” and we would always greet him that way. He is so fun to talk to and we were really happy to see him singing at the Friday show. He’s really talented.
Ariana is just wonderful! She helped us play a prank on Sebastian (and he also took the joke really well) by helping us make an ugly drink for him, pretending that was his order. She’s great at guest service and makes really delicious drinks! So delicious, even the “joke” drink didn’t taste too bad!
The Housekeeper we had for the majority of our stay was so great too! Chantale is her name and she’s so sweet and always did an amazing job cleaning our room! We loved talking with her as she has such a bright and happy personality.

Overall, our stay has been amazing and this was our 5 year anniversary trip—and everyone here made it even more special. :) I wish I could remember the names of the Restaurant Staff because we loved everyone there too.

Thanks Club Med! As usual, top notch guest service, activities, and WONDERFUL food! The only thing I would suggest is to get rid of the check in times—unless the room really isn’t ready (of course, that would be understandable). But if the room is ready, please let us innn <3

Turkoise is a lovely resort. The stand out is the staff. I have visited many resorts and always had good service. The resort staff was so friendly and welcoming from the grounds keepers all the way up to the manger of the resort. I was pleasantly surprised when several of them joining us for lunch/dinner during our stay. I also loved that there was 6 yoga classes 6 days a week. The yoga instructor Dalma was so knowledgeable, a great instructor, and a lovely soul. Our favorite bar staff was Molly, David, and Andrian. Hector the head chef is so talented and throughly enjoyed his cooking class. The expansive beach was spectacular and the water so crystal clear.

Salu is an amazing instructor, and I can't recommend him enough, especially if you're a beginner like me. He was very thorough and has a real talent for making you feel comfortable and confident on the water. His guidance was clear and on-point, which helped me pick up the basics of sailing much faster than I ever thought I could. If you want to learn to sail, look no further!
