Quebec Charlevoix Canada

Our family stayed at Club Med Québec Charlevoix this past July. Our vacation was fantastic and deeply memorable. Traveling with two boys can be unpredictable, but the resort offered a wonderful mix of adventure and hospitality.

The highlight of our trip was the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond:
• Excursion & Mountain Biking: Our boys loved the mountain biking program, brilliantly managed by the Le Massif staff. Huge thanks to Sean and Emma for their energy and guidance on the trails.
• Circus Team & Teen Club: A massive shoutout to Kyle from the Circus team, who was brilliant and patient. He safely taught our kids trapeze tricks—an experience they still talk about! Loukas and Zach from the Teen Club made sure the environment was always friendly and fun.
• Dining Team (Vegetarian Friendly): Being a vegetarian family with a strict mushroom allergy, we were nervous about dining. However, Eduardo and Roberto completely blew us away. They personally toured the buffet with us at each meal to show us what was safe, and proactively made us custom pizzas and pastas when choices were limited.
• Reception & Guest Services: From the moment we arrived, Hamza and Manny at the front desk were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and set a wonderful tone for our stay.
• Photography Department: Elisa was an absolute joy to work with. She was patient with our family and did a beautiful job capturing gorgeous photos that we will cherish forever.

While the hospitality was top-tier, two operational downsides kept this from being a flawless 5-star experience:

1. Room Climate Control: The air conditioning continuously reset itself to 24°C (75°F) day and night. Because of this, the room became uncomfortably warm, causing us to wake up sweating. Reception refused to assist, stating this auto-reset is strict "resort policy."
2. Restricted Facility Hours: The facilities open late and close early. For example, the indoor pool didn't open until 10:00 AM, and staff started closing it down by 6:20 PM. This left a very narrow window to enjoy the amenities after daily excursions or biking trails.
   Despite these minor hurdles, the incredible warmth of the staff and the variety of activities made this a phenomenal trip for our boys. We absolutely recommend it to families looking for an active escape in Quebec!

An Unforgettable Fall Experience at Club Med Québec Charlevoix
My experience at Club Med Québec Charlevoix was truly spectacular and one of the most rewarding vacations I have experienced in Canada. The extraordinary setting, where the magnificent St. Lawrence River and the surrounding natural beauty seem to embrace one another, makes this destination truly unforgettable.
My heartfelt thanks go to every member of the Club Med team for making my fall vacation such a wonderful experience.
I would especially like to congratulate the pâtisserie department. The desserts were exquisite, beautifully presented, and served in just the right size—small, delicate portions that allowed us to enjoy a little taste of sweetness after a meal.
I was also very impressed by the thoughtful approach to food service. Meals were carefully portioned and presented, helping minimize food waste. I sincerely applaud this initiative and the team’s commitment to responsible consumption. It was wonderful to see such consideration for both the guests and the environment.
The staff’s efforts to accommodate guests from different backgrounds and walks of life also deserve recognition. These thoughtful details made the experience all the more rewarding.
A Few Suggestions for Future Visits
There are two additions I would love to see in the future:

1. Simple, conversational French lessons. Short, informal sessions teaching useful French phrases for everyday interactions around the resort would be a delightful way for guests to connect with the staff and embrace the local Québec culture.
2. Aquafit classes designed specifically for seniors. Gentle, low-impact water exercise sessions would be a wonderful addition for older guests and those with mobility limitations who may find the more athletic activities challenging. Such classes would help more guests participate comfortably, stay active, and enjoy their vacation.
   I leave with wonderful memories and sincere appreciation for everyone who contributed to this unforgettable autumn experience.

We have been here a few times in different seasons and it does not disappoint. So much to do and see in the area too.

The views and the facilities are top notch. Food fantastic and the staff were great. I would totally recommend going.
