Do yourself a favor, don't book for less than 10 days. This is a top quality Club Med resort and will delight you in every way. Fantastic staff and leadership team.

My only regret: they don't do sailing any more. Please bring it back.

My sister and I stayed at Club Med La Plantation D'Albion for 2 weeks and we had the best time. I honestly have too many positive comments about this resort, but more importantly the people. The people working there are what made our stay special and even more memorable - so thank you to absolutely everyone!

We stayed in a sea view room that had the most breathtaking view of the zen pool as well as the ocean. The room itself was amazing and the people who tend to the rooms do fantastic work. The room was clean and the amenities were great. We had no issues.

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. It was relatively quiet during our stay and we loved this as it was very peaceful and we never struggled to find lounge chairs on the beach or at the zen pool. The zen pool was probably my favourite place due to the gorgeous views, but the beach is also stunning. The resort grounds are gorgeous, and meticulously and constantly maintained.

The food was really good at the main restaurant and also at the other restaurant - La Phare. We were never dissapointed. There is so much choice and the quality of the food is great. Also, so much effort and organisation is put into the special nights where dinner takes place at alternative areas like the Fort and La Phare - it did not go unnoticed. I would like to say a special thank you to the chefs, as well as the resort management - Vichy and Romain. Vichy and Romain were very personable, charismatic, and kind. Rishi and Juliette serving at the restaurant were so lovely and deserve a lot of praise for their hard work and customer service skills! Same goes for Rakesh and Calevin at La Phare bar. All of their smiling faces and positive attitudes made for a very warm atmosphere.

The evening shows were definitely a highlight of our stay. You can really tell that so much effort and time is put into the shows, and everyone involved does an amazing job! Samuel is a beautiful dancer and Denzel put absolutely all of his energy into the performances. They were very impressive and delightful to watch.

Just to quickly mention - I went on one excursion, Kayaking in the Mangroves, and this was wonderful. It was beautiful, fun, and the people were lovely. I would recommend this if you are looking for a more active excursion.

If you like to get involved in activities, there is plenty to do during the day. I did trapeze, paddle boarding, paddle, tennis, archery, yoga, aerial yoga, and more, but there are many other activities that take place throughout the day. Special thank you to Olivier (tennis/paddle) and Yashil (archery). They were both happy, positive, and wonderful people that are great at what they do.

I would also like to say thank you to Rakesh the buggy driver for being so lovely and smiley!

I will end with my biggest thank you to the circus team - Sven, Amy, Opik, and Josephine. I went to the trapeze sessions every day that I could. Trapeze was extremely challenging, and it became really important to me during my stay. Sven, Amy, Opik, and Josephine are some of the most impressive, kind, and supportive people I have met. The evening shows they did were incredible. These individuals are so passionate, caring, and invested in what they do, and Club Med is so lucky to have them. I started with virtually no experience and managed 7 catches during my stay. They even allowed me to get my 7th catch on the last day of my stay where they set up during/after the morning session just for me so that I would be able to do this before I left (catch sessions only happen in the afternoon). I am so extremely grateful to them for their confidence in me and for their positivity and support. Sven, Amy, Opik, Josephine - I wish you all the best in your next endeavours and please know that everything you did during my stay meant so much - thank you!

Overall, I had the best experience at La Plantation D'Albion and I already wish that I could go back! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and everyone. Thank you again!

The overall management is good and they spend time asking if everything is OK and making sure you are enjoying the resort. The resort itself is in a great location with picturesque scenery and a tranquil environment.

However, we felt that some of the wait, bar and cooking staff did not have sufficient fluency in English with the result that orders were sometimes not correct and food not always cooked as requested. We found it unusual to have to ask for milk with tea and for a teaspoon to stir it when so many South Africans who drink tea and coffee frequent the resort. One lunch time when we requested ice for the drinks the waiter just said "no ice it's finished" - this is not expected at a 5 star resort with more than one bar. Several requests for drinks to be restocked in the room fridge were also ignored - we asked for sparkling waters and orange juice and no fizzy drinks but were given sparkling waters, fizzy drinks and other fruit juices but no orange juice for some reason. It seemed to us that the staff below management could benefit from more training in customer service.

It was also unacceptable that one evening my husband, who does not drink alcohol, was told that the shooter offered outside the restaurant was "banana water" when he asked several times whether it contained alcohol. When I tasted it, I recognized that it was rum. On another occasion, he ordered a virgin Mary (tomato cocktail) and confirmed several times with the waiter and barman that he did not want alcohol and when the drink arrived the waiter again confirmed no alcohol but it was actually a Bloody Mary with vodka. This attitude could have dangerous consequences for people who do not drink due to health reasons.

The food is good and the planning and organization for the dinners held in different venues such as the old fort is very good. The logistics seem to be carried out flawlessly. The activities and entertainment are also well organized.

It's great that you can use the facilities at the other Club Med on the island but there is no shuttle service between the hotels so you have to pay for a taxi if you want to go.

Despite the few hiccups, overall we had a good experience and a restful holiday.

Had an amazing time at the La Plantation, Albion. Quality of Food and service was excellent and were well looked after by Vidya at the Phare restaurant.Our boys had a great time snorkelling,kayaking and swimming by the beach area.As a family we loved playing Padel . Had great advice from Andy in Excursions and enjoyed the excursion we went on. All the GO’s were very friendly and great fun full of energy in all the activities they provided. A really memorable holiday for the whole family
