Why Punta?
A successful multi-generational holiday starts with the destination itself. Nobody wants to spend the first day of a family trip recovering from a complicated journey, especially when young children and older relatives are involved.
Punta Cana benefits from its international airport, which makes the destination pretty straightforward to get to from a lot of North American cities. The transfer from the airport to a resort is also considerably easier than dealing with lengthy journeys which is especially noticeable, again, with grandparents and young children.
Of course, there is also another obvious attraction here - the weather.
Punta Cana has a tropical climate that lends itself to a holiday that is focused around being outdoors. Families are able to spend the morning on the beach, take part in activities in the afternoon, and then have dinner together in the evening. You don’t need an itinerary that is jam packed with sightseeing to have a great time.
The Dominican Republic also offers more than just beaches. Music, food, history, and culture all provide opportunities for older children and adults to experience something beyond the resort. Younger travelers can enjoy the pleasures they’re more interested in such as swimming, playing, and exploring.
This combination of things ensures that Punta Cana is appealing for families who don’t share the same idea of a perfect holiday.
