Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Jean-Baptiste, Charles, Roberson, and Deivis at the bar are the best! Flo and YouYou brought the energy and kept the vibes high throughout our entire stay. Mathiew, Djeson, and Christelle were a lot of fun to dine with. The employees were definitely a highlight of our trip, and I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality!

This was our second year at Club Med and it continues to be our favorite family vacation spot. The team at Tiara went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience and that all our needs were met. The resort has endless opportunities for fun experiences, too. Everyone, from those who work in the restaurants, to the instructors at the circus school, and the people who run the kids club are friendly, kind, patient, and encouraging. Thank you to the entire resort for welcoming us with open arms!

This was our 2nd time traveling to Club Med Punta Cana in the past year - 2 adults and 2 teens (7 nights each visit). How we did not know of this place when my children were younger I do not know, but if you are a family with children, you need to seriously consider CMPC. I am a teacher and I cannot get over the array and quality of activities for children, the way in which they are organized, and the staff that accommodates them - it can be a true vacation for you AND your kids! 

Airport - so easy. We paid for the transfer from Club Med both ways, and it was well worth it. Resort is less than 10 minutes from the airport which is awesome. Make sure you fill out the online forms into and out of the DR prior to your trip.

Check In - OUTSTANDING! Huge shout out to Marie-Laurette, Fabie, Amelie, Mehu, Manu & Dieunet - Guest Relations Team. Marie-Laurette stayed in communication with me to ensure our room was perfect, and helped us in any way that she could. Her smile is AMAZING, and we cannot wait to see her again!

Housekeeping - A+ - Rosalinne was incredible. She went out of her way to make sure our room was spotless and we had what we needed. We were in the Ovando building, which is a perfect spot. Not too close, not too far, but in a central location and close to the new waterpark, which is also a must-do. We went 3 different times - once even without our teens and had a blast on the new slides!

Nightlife - Best there is hands down. Since there is still construction going on, the resort is less crowded. That didn't stop the performance crews. Chief of the Village Abdel, the General Manager who was in charge while Abdel was in Miches for a few days (I cannot recall 1st name), YouYou, Miguel, Damien, Charles (bartender - EXCELLENT!!!) & Jean-Baptiste (also excellent bartender)...thank you! Michael Jackson show is a MUST SEE!!!

Indigo - make your reservations in the morning if you don't want to do the buffet for dinner. You have to do this in person - get there 8:45 at least...well worth it. Antonio, the head chef, aims to please. He will come out and see what your family wants to eat if you would like him to. Amazing human. Other incredible staff there - Angela, Elisa...I could go on and on.

Circus & Fitness - Melanie (whoo-whoooo) thank you for your energy and Pilates classes! My kids loved the trapeze...the whole staff is so incredibly talented! To take classes with other guests from all around the world is a magical experience!

Overall, if you can wait until after the new year to take your trip, don't hesitate to book. I'd say wait until the construction is over so you can experience the whole resort minus the construction crews and less dining options. After Jan 2026 in my opinion. Push your kids to join the kids clubs, try new experiences, go to the shows and do the dances!!! It's a super special place, so much memorable fun, and we cannot wait to go back next year!

This was the 10th time my family returned to this resort, but first time seeing the waterpark and other renovations. There were zero lines/waiting for the big slides, and the waterpark was spacious and serene rather than being chaotic like most other parks I have been to. So that was a nice enhancement.

As for the rest of the resort and amenities, I tend to get the most out of it when the resort is packed rather than more empty.

Cannot wait to return in November!.

This is one of the best all inclusive experiences I’ve ever had - very family oriented with tons of activities. Staff are mostly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Rooms are clean and fairly updated; we booked a family suite with two separate sleeping areas separated by doors (there are rooms with a curtain separating sleeping quarters, which may be appropriate for families with very young children). Our room had two bathrooms: one was a 1/2 bath (toilet and sink without a mirror) and the other was a shower with double vanities (no toilet). This arrangement worked well except for when we all needed to use the toilet (rather urgently, at times). Neither room contained a mirror, which would have been nice to have when we were all getting ready in the evenings. Closet space in the room was more than sufficient. The beds were very hard, but we managed to catch zzz’s after our busy days.

The mini camp was wonderful, and kept our kid busy while we enjoyed sailing lessons, kayaking, swimming, pickleball, golfing lessons, tennis, etc. The camps allowed our kids to practice circus skills, including trapeze hangs (don’t worry, adults also get that opportunity in the evenings, and it’s an unforgettable experience). Our eldest found many friends at the teen space, and on some days we barely saw him.

The swimming pool is large and was never overcrowded during our stay - possibly because the newly built water park shared the crowd. The slides at the water park were fun for all - and kids under 10 get to enjoy the bubble (think giant water trampoline). We spent an evening playing mini golf on their 18-hole course (but bring bug spray if you go in the evening).

Hispaniola restaurant is buffet-style, and fully stocked with stations appealing to vegans and meat eaters alike. Fresh fruit is never hard to find. Their a la carte restaurant - Indigo - is a great sit down spot for breakfast and lunch, but get your reservations in at 9 am if you want to enjoy a more upscale dinner experience.

One of the biggest bummers for me was the beach. Sargassum was rampant despite their continued efforts throughout the day to keep it under control. While they offered snorkeling gear, there wasn’t much to see (and as a former resident of a Caribbean island, I may say this with a degree of bias). Throughout the day there was never a shortage of activities, and keeping track of these was easy through the Club Med app that ran smoothly with their free basic WiFi.

Their gym was pretty good, with treadmills, ellipticals, a rowing machine, free weights, bicycles, kettle balls, a few weighted machines and mats (which could use replacing or a serious cleaning).

Overall our family loved our vacation and will probably book another Club Med for future vacations. Even after 7 days, we couldn’t catch all the activities that we wanted, and we did not book any outside excursions!
