Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Back once again and it was worth it!
We were very pleased to meet great GM & GO! We felt like we were friends for a long time and that is the CM spirit!
We want to thank the GO’s that were always there for us (sorry if we forget some of you) and always available and educated.
Charles, from the bar, was always very friendly and prepared us personalized drinks! He was always attentive and dedicated to our needs! Excellent Charles!
Manu, Duda and Luciana were also very close to us; we had great chats! They were also very friendly and always available to help!
During our stay Yan Camil, beach boy, noticed I was not well and he volunteered to bring me a tea that would made me feel better! Thank you for your kindness!
We did power walk and volley and the team is fantastic! Special thanks to James, Djerson and Angelot!

The food needs to be improved, particularly the variety of fish, as we did not have many options as we should.

This the second time we come to Punta Cana.Although there were some constructions at the resort but we were given a room far from the constructions sites. So we did not hear any of the noise. The bed mattress was a bit stiff we did address it and it was taken care of immediately. The GO teams were absolutely fabulous. Youyou with his warmth and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. Always smiling and a great entertainer. He made sure to put a smile on our faces every time we met with him. I wish him the best future with Club Med.Ricardo made us fall in love with aqua gym. I recommend Mileydes and Leo for the Latino dance lessons. Their heart and souls were with us while taking us step by step the the dances. Finally all my regards to Abdel. We met him in 2015 and he is the same leader,entertainer. We will definitely be back for the 3rd time.

The property was beautiful. We had an amazing room right on the Ocean. The room was newly renovated and very clean. We stayed in Tiara. All of the staff there were amazing! They were helpful, friendly, attentive and always had a smile. Crystal went above and beyond for my child’s and husband’s birthday’s.
My kids loved being there. They wanted to go to kids club which gave us parents some time to relax. There is so much to relax or enjoy the amenities. The staff at the kids club is also fantastic. They are welcoming, caring and fun. The staff at the trapeze were so much fun! They were encouraging, funny and made sure people were safe. Their athletic skills were unbelievable. The evening events were always fun and full of energy. I loved how they danced and got people dancing. The new spa was beautiful.
I feel like the food at club med Cancun was better and had a bigger variety. But that may be because Punta Cana is in the process of rebuilding the main restaurant. Overall all it was amazing! I can’t wait to go back!

The Club Med Punta Cana is a perfect choice for a family with young children. We traveled as a family of 5 - my husband and I and our 3 boys, ages 8, 5, and 6 months. The transport to and from the airport was as easy, comfortable, and fast as can be. We did not even need to bring a car seat for the baby.

The resort is on a beautiful spot on the beach and well maintained. The tiara suites were perfect - the big boys had their own room which they loved. We woke up to a gorgeous view of the ocean. Being poolside and 10s to the bar was also helpful for when kid naps needed to happen. Admittedly, I thought we may be able to hang on the beach right outside our room, but that section is rocky, so it still made sense to walk over to the main beach (5 min walk!) for beach time. The room was already stocked with everything we would need for the baby - pack and play, changing station, baby soap etc. There were adorable welcome gifts for the older boys - personalized notebooks to document their stay!

The Exclusive Collection experience at Tiara was a great choice. The Tiara team was always available and responsive to anything that would make our time better, either in person or over WhatsApp. There were little surprises there just for the Tiara section throughout the day, like cocktail hours, tea time, a fantastic bbq.

While some spaces are still under construction after the fire, it really did not affect our experience much at all. The main pool may have been less attractive because of it, but we still had the Tiara pool and the kids pool and the water park.

The food was plentiful. As in all “all-inclusive” situations, some dishes will be better than others, but overall high quality. There were 2 restaurant options while we were there, Hispaniola and Indigo. Hispaniola was a buffet, but lunch and dinner options did change daily, and I liked nearly everything I tried. Plenty of kids options. indigo has a stable menu to order from for dinner that is excellent, and also has options for the kids. The steaks there were especially notable. Both have perfect locations on the water. We spent 4 nights there and did 2 dinners at each. All meals the service was excellent and the wine kept coming.

Breakfast we did 2 days at the Hispaniola buffet - beloved by the kids with everything - pancakes, fresh fruit, bacon, omelettes, cereal. One day we went to sit down breakfast at Indigo, and once did room service which was exciting for the kids, and included.

Our favorite lunches were the events on the beach - the most giant paella I had ever seen filled with grilled seafood, a bbq of ribs, fish etc. they were fun and never too crowded.

The constant supply of Oreos in our room also helped to never have hunger complaints between meals.

Other activities! The older boys went to Mini Club for 3 mornings we were there, although they can do the whole day, we just did 9-12. My 8 year old loved sailing lessons. 5 year old had a slightly harder time in the 4-5 group, it’s hot and they keep them moving. Apparently he asked to go home a bunch the first day and I wish they had contacted me, but then after skipping a day and playing with us at the beach he really wanted to go back. Circus was not as much of a success as I had been anticipating, but they both were obsessed with the water park and we went back as a family even after mini club time.

There are games everywhere easily accessible - mini golf, bocce, volleyball.

The kids shows at night were on the beach and kept the 5yo very entertained. A bit too young for our 8yo but he stuck it out as long as he had a mango smoothie in his hand (the mango all week was perfection and they could have lived on just that).

We walked the length of the resort back and forth many times (15m walk at most), but there was a buggy for when our 5yo gave up.

All in all a great trip.

If you do plan to go, I definitely recommend the extra cost for EC/tiara - it was more than worth it for the view, the extra pool and bar, and the fantastic service/team.

We had never been to a Club Med before, and I didn’t know what to expect, but we will definitely be checking out another one in our future.
