Cancún Mexico

We were fortunate to experience Club Med Cancun, and enjoy many of their activities and an amazing excursion to Tulum and a Cenote. Our favorite moments included Scuba Diving, sailing, amazing pools and water park, and Taco Arte restaurant seaside dining...absolutely amazing. You won't be disappointed. And perhaps most important, the people who worked their were professional, courteous and very accommodating.

This is our eighth or ninth trip to Club Med overall, and most of those have been in Cancun. Our daughter is now 14 and has loved Club Med since she was a toddler — we’ll keep coming back as long as she has a good time, because it’s an awesome family environment.

The good parts of this latest trip:

• Teen Club with Ronneil and Thais! Our daughter and a friend traveling with us had the best time with them and the rest of the teens. They offered the perfect combo of organized activities and general hanging out with a pretty large group of teens, all of whom seemed to be having a great time. As parents, we appreciate the time and care they spent with them this week, and our daughter cannot say enough good things about her experience!

• Pickleball with Javier and Julio. My husband misses the tennis courts at Cancun but has had Javier as an instructor for a few years now (and will be tempted to come see him in Ixtapa as he moves on!). Pickleball is always a good time and the staff is great.

• Land sports, especially volleyball. Shout out to Chava for organizing some great matches on the beach.

• Daily yoga (and I regret I did not get the instructors name, but she was fantastic — the instructor from Quebec!)

• The excellent bar staff at the main bar, who always made great drinks quickly and with a smile.

• The new waterpark is a fun addition!

And some areas of improvement:

Service

• I don’t know if they’ve completely done away with it or if we were there at a short-staffed time, but service on the beach is non existent. In previous years, it was nice to have waitstaff come by every so often and take drink orders. Maybe that is a thing of the past, but we missed that bit of service.

• Similarly, the dining rooms always seemed to be short staffed, especially at breakfast and lunch. We often had to get up and find someone to get us drinks, whereas in the past we were served pretty quickly and regularly.

• Housekeeping service was also spotty, particularly if you requested extra towels etc — half the time they never arrived.

Activities

• The pickleball gathering area is in dire need of fans — it gets HOT and one fan isn’t enough!

Food

• I’ve always thought the food at Cancun was just okay, but this year was a little more off than usual. They don’t seem to have “theme” nights anymore at dinner, and the food is sort of a random hodgepodge every night. Some of it is good, some of it is not. Lunch and breakfast are more consistent.

• At first I was excited to see you could book La Estancia and Taco Arte reservations in the app, but the app was fairly glitchy for this purpose. Taco Arte reservations seem non existent and when we went to the reception to ask for help, they simply told us to use the app.

All in all, we had a good time. I hope Club Med will read some of the suggestions and make our next trip a five star experience!

This was a mother daughter trip at the end of May/early June 2025. We stayed at the Jade section, which has its own pool and bar/lounge area, adjacent to a beach, close to kayaking and sailing,with the Taco Arte restaurant nearby. We indulged in yoga, fitness, the gym, kayaking, trapeze, snorkelling, aquafit, dance, the nighttime shows, and lots of swimming and lounging, and tons of great food. The staff in the Jade area were exceptional and made us feel so welcome. Jose Luis, who runs the Jade section, checked in with regularly to see how we were doing. Cristian went above and beyond to make my daughters food allergies were addressed and she had food that was okay for her to eat, and he checked in with us frequenlty to make sure our days were going well. Daniel at the front desk made us feel so welcome and included and joined us for meals and made an excellent taco for my daughter at the Jade BBQ. Leonel was incredibly helpful in getting our fridge replaced quickly when it wasn't working. He was always a smiling face. The staff at the Jade bar always provided 5 star service. Daniel at the bar alway greeted us with a smile and made sure we had our favorite and very specific drinks. Eliseo made our tea and lattes every morning and made sure my daughter's was lactose free. Ademir provided excellent drink recommendations, especially when I wanted no alcohol and no sugar. Jesus kindly came all the way out to the Jade beach with drinks, which is techniically out of the Jade area. Raphael at Taco Arte provided excellent service, and Monica always greeted us with a kind smile and found us our preferred tables by the water. My daughter attended many dance classes with Jose Megal who was energetic and created a fun atmosphere to dance and learn. Nelson was an excellent gym and aquafit instructor who was fun and personable. Our housekeeper Leucinda kept our room spotless and well stocked and greeted us with a smile. Eloy in the Jade lounge helped ius with rides and opening doors. All of these people made our stay unforgettable. Thank-you so much! We can't wait to come back.

Great moment at Cancun club med. Very convenient for family who want to relax and visit the country. However I booked and paid an activity directly through the online application and office of Cancun told me that the reservation should be done only onsite hence could not reimbursed me.

I had a wonderful time at this resort for a 2nd time. Since day one until the last day. The food was great, room always clean, the beach. It's really hot and humid over there so make sure to bring light clothes .The site overall is very beautiful the activities and everything were excellent Claudia at the front desk was very friendly .She did her best to find me the best possible room at check in.
