Tennis, golf, or horseback riding: choose your favorite open-air sport or try them all!

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner, make the most of the huge selection of land-based sports to enjoy with family or friends at Club Med. On land, in the air, in group classes or on your own, get into a sporting mood and improve your fitness. Expert coaches support you in your quest for thrills and wellbeing. Learn tennis as a family on a clay court or perfect your backhand under the direction of André Agassi at the Sandpiper Bay Tennis Academy. Learn to play golf like a pro and practice your swing on an oasis lined with coconut trees. Learn horseback riding on a fine sand beach at sunset. Recharge your batteries with a yoga session during a cruise on the Club Med 2. Try your hand at TRX, a form of suspension training that builds muscles, available in the gyms of certain Resorts such as Club Med Les Arcs Panorama. Relax with some tai chi in the mountains of Asia at the Club Med Guilin Resort in China. In the winter, speed down the slopes of the biggest ski areas in the Alps, or on the legendary snow of Japan. Archery, treetop adventure courses, climbing, mountain biking, trekking, volleyball, basketball, and soccer: there's an outdoor activity for everyone!

Individual sports to improve your skills while having tons of fun

"The undeniable advantage of a Club Med vacation? The huge range of activities on offer," explains Christian Hilaire, Sports Expert for the European Seaside Resort Zone.

Looking to work on your backhand? Numerous Resorts benefit from tennis courts surrounded by lush scenery, including Gregolimano in Greece, Phuket in Thailand, and Sandpiper Bay in the USA. Golfers of all levels can practice their swing on some of the most beautiful fairways in the world - check out the Club Med Resorts of Da Balaia in southern Portugal and Pragelato Vialattea in Italy.

Get into a Zen state of mind with some yoga at the Club Med Cefalù Resort in Sicily. Get into tip-top shape* with ab/glute exercises, Pilates, step classes, stretching, and Zumba... The gym is open all day long for you to enjoy at your own leisure.

Club Med is all about trying new things, such as the flying trapeze at Opio in France, a beginner's archery lesson at Bodrum in Turkey, rock climbing at Val Thorens in the Alps, or treetop-walking at Cherating Beach in Malaysia.

A beginner or expert carver? If you love fresh powder, head to the Alps, Asia, or Canada for some skiing and snowboarding.

Team sports for thrilling competitive action

Soccer, beach soccer, basketball, boules... Sporting activities at Club Med Resorts combine fitness with fun! If you're a competitive type, you'll love the tournaments put on by our G.O®s. Kids over 8 years of age can also participate in these group activities and enjoy a fun-filled vacation.

Depending on the Resort, you'll also find plenty of indoor sports such as squash, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, football, and soccer.

Outdoor sports take priority at our sunnier destinations. At Yasmina in Morocco and La Pointe aux Canonniers in Mauritius, feel the sand between your toes while playing beach volleyball, beach tennis, and beach soccer.

Nature walks in stunning scenery

Admire the scenery by mountain biking or taking a guided hike at Cefalù in Italy, Opio in France, or Sant'Ambrogio in Corsica. In Corsica, "you can explore the hinterland, discover quaint villages and sheep farms, or enjoy a trip along the coast," says Christian Hilaire. "Our routes and trails are extremely varied."

At Resorts in Morocco and France, you'll enjoy horseriding* during picturesque treks.

In the winter, enjoy the crisp mountain air during a Nordic walk or snowshoe hike. Whether you start at the entrance of a Resort or take a ski lift to the peaks, you'll follow tracks left in the snow by local wildlife.
