With its central location, semi-open design leading into luxuriant tropical gardens, and friendly atmosphere, this restaurant provides the perfect setting for sampling international cuisine from the buffet. A selection of low-calorie dishes prepared daily by our chef and his team are also available. Smoking is permitted. Tables sit 2 to 8 people, and high chairs are available.

La Cabana

There is no better place to sample Brazilian specialties than this open-air restaurant located at the heart of a coconut grove. Tennis players will appreciate its location near the courts. Tables sit 2 to 8 people and baby high chairs are available. Brazilian cuisine is a delight with fish dishes and traditional cassava. The Cabana atmosphere puts you in the heart of Brazil.

Included in your offer are a selection of refreshing drinks and sweet and savory snacks, so you don't have to worry about carrying your wallet around with you. Choose from a selection of sodas, cocktails with and without alcohol, water and local wines or spirits. Staff are on hand to make you a nice hot drink if you’re feeling a little chilly.

With supplement

Certain drinks are not included in your offer. VSOP, XO spirits and luxury champagne are all available. If you're in a hurry then certain Resort vending machines offer bottled and canned drinks which can also be acquired from the Club Med Boutique. A la carte wines can be found in the Resort restaurants and bars, as well as a selection of drinks from super-premium brands.

The main bar

With an ideal poolside location and a sumptuous view over the beach and sea, this spacious bar features a terrace that is both covered and open during the day, as well as an ample snack menu. By night, the bar 'goes disco' for an upbeat change of mood. Cigar humidors are available at extra cost, and smoking is permitted on the terrace.

Cabana bar

The perfect partner to our Brazilian specialty restaurant, this trendy bar serves delicious coffee and refreshing fruit juices all day long. Catch up with friends and family in a relaxed environment.

Each town also celebrates its own “anniversary” date, and that of its patron saint.

- in January: New Year (1 January) / Nosso Senhor do Bonfim is the most important religious festival in Salvador da Bahia: a procession covers the 8 km from the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceiçao to the Church of Bonfim in a festive ambience (from the 1st to the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany)

- in February: the Carnival of Salvador da Bahia has everybody out in the street (in February or March) / Iemanja, at Salvador da Bahia, is a long procession of boats laden with gifts for the goddess of the sea (2 February)

Hepatitis A and B

Vaccination against yellow fever is essential only in the Amazon region, even where there is no mandatory government requirement (at an approved centre).

Some parasitic or viral diseases are carried by mosquitoes; we recommend that you use insect repellent for your skin and clothing suitable for the tropics.

There is a risk of the major form of malaria (falciparum) which requires strict preventative measures such as chimio prophylaxis and repellents (in the Amazon region only).

A nurse is available in the Resort

Proof of citizenship, passports, visas, tourist cards, health recommendations, inoculations (where required) and compliance with customs regulations are the responsibility of the member. Club Med Sales, Inc., shall not be responsible if boarding or entry is denied or delayed or if cancellation charges are imposed or additional costs incurred as a result of the failure to provide required travel documents. All information should be confirmed directly with the appropriate government consulate or tourist office in advance of departure. If a birth certificate is being used, please make sure it is an original or certified copy with raised seal, and bring an additional government issued picture I.D. (such as a driver's license).
