The experience provided tremendous insight for me,” expressed Mufraggi, CEO of Club Med. “It really allowed me to see the bright personalities and hard work each of our employees bring to the table. They are the core of the guest experience in our resorts, and I am thankful to have witnessed that first-hand.

Following his undercover time, Xavier made some necessary changes to help improve the quality of life for our employees. Below you will meet the G.Os who participated in the production and some insight as to where they are now.

Club Med’s employees – known as G.Os (short for Gracious Organizers) are the building block of the company – offering a fun, convivial and international touch to every guest’s vacation. They are one of the primary reasons that guests continue to book Club Med vacations year after year.

Meet Xavier Mufraggi

Xavier Mufraggi is a dynamic professional with a strong, strategic marketing background in the food, consumer and hospitality industries.

Mufraggi holds a master’s degree in Business Management from the EDHEC Business School (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord) in France, known as one of the top executive business and management training programs in Europe. He began his career in sales and marketing for Kraft Foods in Europe. After seven years with Kraft, Mufraggi joined Club Med in 2005.

After spending three years with the company, at just 31 years old, Mufraggi was named the new CEO of Club Med’s North American business unit – including the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. As part of his role, Mufraggi was tasked with overseeing a nearly $300 million business unit with more than 3,000 employees.

Following the production of the show, Xavier Mufraggi was promoted to a new role within the company. He is now the CEO of Club Med for Europe, Africa, Middle East and emerging markets.

Meet the team

Junior

Since the show was taped, Club Med helped Junior secure his first passport and a position as a bartender at Club Med Valmorel in the French Alps until it was temporarily closed due to COVID 19. During his time in France, he mingled with Club Med’s international guests and staff, practicing his French, and saw snow for the first time. Back in the Dominican Republic, Club Med invested over $300,000 to improve the transit rooms and shower facilities for the staff to use at Club Med Punta Cana when they choose to spend the night. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions temporarily closing some resort locations and a desire to be closer to his family, Junior has recently decided to pursue a career outside of Club Med.

Kenia

Throughout her career with Club Med, Kenia has had the opportunity to travel, sharpen her cooking skills and expand her taste buds as she was promoted within Club Med’s culinary team at resorts close to home in the Bahamas then to properties in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. In 2020, Kenia took the next step toward her dream of opening her own restaurant when she moved to Club Med Turkoise. Her infectious smile and bubbly personality were a hit at the resort while she served up locally inspired Caribbean dishes at her own Caribbean Splash Healthy corner. As she continues to develop her culinary skills, Kenia will be joining as new Chef de Partie at Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon in the French Alps later in 2020. As committed by Xavier, a college fund for her nephew is being set up by Club Med.

Edwin

Best known for his hard-work ethic, Edwin started his career with Club Med in 2014 and worked at Club Med’s properties in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Brazil. As he continues to pursue his ambition to evolve and grow within Club Med, ultimately aspiring to become a Club Med Chief of Village (General Manager), he was promoted to Family Manager of the Club Med Amazing Family Program at Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda, the new flagship Exclusive Collection resort in the Dominican Republic. He will rejoin the team at Michès, with a mentorship from one of Club Med’s Mexican General Managers, when the property reopens on December 5th, 2020. Since the taping, Club Med has been paying for the support of Edwin’s mother in Mexico while he pursues his career.

Karla

Since the taping of the show, Club Med has been supporting Karla as she achieves her dream to continue her education in the field of nursing. With Club Med’s assistance, Karla has been taking her graduate classes online as she pursues her Master’s of Nursing. With Club Med Cancún set to reopen on October 17th, 2020, Karla will continue her journey as the resort’s onsite nurse in the newly renovated and refreshed medical facility. Her role will be even more critical as she assists the resort with Club Med’s Safe Together health and hygiene protocols.
