Contribute to the Club Med Haitian Relief fund
Club Med is a global family. We come together from all over the world and the tragedies that involve our international brothers and sisters affect us deeply. In response to the recent earthquake in Haiti, many of you asked how you can directly help our Haitian GEs and GOs. Beginning today, Club Med has established an international account to gather funds for employees with family affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
Currently over 130 GEs have no news from their families in Haiti, and several have confirmed the loss of loved ones. Your contribution can help them. The monies collected will go directly to the families affected; to seek medical care, to pay for basic needs and to rebuild their lives. Once access to Haiti improves, Club Med will also use these funds to organize and fund the logistics and transportation for employees with family in Haiti.
The Club Med Haiti Relief Fund will be used to assist Club Med employees and their families who have been adversely impacted by the horrific earthquake in Haiti. All donations will be maintained in a separate bank account. Any funds not distributed within twelve (12) months will be donated to the International Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Please note that donations to the Club Med Haiti Relief Fund are not tax deductible. If you wish to make a tax deductible donation, please donate directly to the Red Cross, Food for the Poor, or another qualified charitable organization who is providing assistance in Haiti.

"Many of us work with Haitian GOs or GEs. Seeing their suffering during this terrible disaster has motivated us to organize relief funds that will directly help them. Once the funds are collected, we will evaluate the needs of affected employees and assist them in the most beneficial and fair manner. Both Olivier Bergeret and I will personally manage the relief program."

"Our GEs and GOs have demonstrated extreme courage throughout this terrible ordeal, coming to work and never showing our guests their distress and suffering. We are truly respectful and thankful for this incredible attitude and dedication. Unfortunately, this is not the first crisis that has affected the Club Med family; however it is by far one of the worst we've ever had to confront. We must take advantage of the direct link that we have with our Haitian employees and raise funds that will go directly to them."
