A refined beach resort steeped in the culture of rice paddy fields and temples.
Beside the swimming pool, Marc Hertrich has designed a beautifully contemporary lounge bar. The Spa*'s stylish environment and treatment rooms have been refurbished, inspired by the refined elegance of Balinese architecture, a haven of serenity in a tranquil green paradise. The new ambience of the restaurants offers the promise of idyllic moments for the whole family under the shade of an exotic pergola.
Voted "Top Resort for Families" in 2009
The indoor areas and rooms are non-smoking areas (electronic cigarettes are included in the no-smoking rule).
Located 300 feet from the Resort, the public beach stretches a distance of half a mile and has a marked swimming area.
The upper part of the beach consists of fine yellow sand, while the lower part, visible when the tide goes out, is sprinkled with rocks. Swimming is recommended while the tide is coming in, because the reef is completely exposed at low tide.
The beach is located between natural stone dykes, which protect the beaches from the waves and currents. Waves can only appear during spring tides or storms. The reef (100 feet) facing the Club Med Resort offers a surfing site (Matahari Break) with superb left break waves for surf lovers.
The beach is equipped with showers, deckchairs and bamboo parasols.
Bales (small Indonesian-style shelters) with mattresses are also available.
