World class dance champions, including Olga Bogdanov, Danielle Wilson, Hazel and Tybaldt Ulrich, Michael Kielbasa and Jennifer DeLuca and Dan Radler and Michael Neil, will lead daily courses, providing personalized dance instruction to both novices and Gene Kellys alike. Apprentices will tap into the world of dance with lessons in cha-cha, rumba, merengue, samba, paso doble, foxtrot, quickstep, waltz, Viennese waltz, bolero, hustle, tango, Argentine tango and jive.
“Our specialty weeks are a great way for guests to experiment with new activities that may seem daunting in other environments,” explained Sabina Sicuso, vice president of marketing, Club Med North America. “The week is designed so that guests can easily integrate dance classes into their vacation in a way that is unintimidating and fun.”
Live salsa bands and guest DJs will perform nightly so participants can show off their newly found talents on the dance floor. The specialty week, June 4 – 7, 2009, is priced at $178 per adult, per night and is available for booking now.
Club Med Sandpiper resort is situated on the Saint Lucie River between Miami and Orlando and features a variety of land and water activities including waterskiing, sailing, volleyball, fitness classes, rollerblading, archery, soccer and flying trapeze.
