New Britto Art Center at Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida

(Jan. 19, 2011—Miami) – After a $25 million transformation, Club Med Sandpiper Bay, the only all-inclusive family resort in the U.S., has collaborated with international pop artist Romero Britto to launch the new BRITTO Art Center. Children ages four and up can participate in educational art programs throughout their vacation, including painting, sketching and coloring with a professional art teacher. Romero Britto is an acclaimed contemporary artist influenced by early and modern masters, and is known for his use of pulsating colors and bold patterns as a visual language of hope and happiness. The new art center will feature Britto’s Mias Garden, a wall mural he selected to reflect the Sandpiper Bay experience. Its vibrant illustrations of colorful animals, children, flowers and shapes make it the perfect art piece to inspire children.

“Our hope is to provide a vivid and colorful experience for children that will leave a lasting impression, long after they leave the resort,” said Sabina Sicuso, Vice President of Marketing, Club Med North America. “The BRITTO Art Center represents the adventure, excitement and inspiration that Sandpiper Bay provides for little ones everyday.” The BRITTO Art Center is another unique addition to the Kidz Village at Sandpiper Bay. ”I am thrilled to be a part of Club Med, where everything is about peace, love, family, friendship and good times,” said Romero Britto. Club Med has always been well known for reinventing the way children vacation by creating personalized experiences for all age groups so that they can discover, participate and grow with unparalleled activities and programs. Activities include everything from junior tennis, golf and sailing to circus school, Le Petit Chef cooking lessons and Zumbatomic.
